Subodh Atal is an independent foreign policy analyst based near Washington DC. He specializes in geopolitics in South and Central Asia, the war on terror, and the implications of US grand strategy. He has made several presentations on these topics, and has participated in policy debates.
His writings have appeared in the National Interest, American Conservative Magazine,
Mediterranean Quarterly, the Cato Policy Analysis and Foreign Policy Briefing series, the Chicago Sun-Times, the San Diego Union Tribune, the
Orange County Register, and the South Asia Analysis Group. He holds a B.Sc. from Delhi University, and a Ph. D. from the University of Maryland.
